DUI AT BORDER CROSSING

HIGHGATE: State Troopers arrested 25-year-old Michael Lunn II, of Milton, for allegedly driving under the influence of alcohol.

Just before midnight on Saturday evening, agents at the Highgate Port of Entry called Vermont State Police to assist with a man they believed to be under the influence.

When police arrive, they conducted field sobriety tests, according to Trooper Ashley Farmer.

Farmer said that Lunn provided a breath sample of 0.121%. That’s about 1.5 times the legal limit of 0.08% for driving in Vermont and Canada.

Lunn is scheduled to appear in front of Judge Gregory Rainville on November 28th to answer to the charge of DUI.

If convicted, Lunn could be sentenced to up to two years in prison as well as a $750 fine.
