ST. ALBANS MAN DIES IN FIERY NY CRASH

ULSTER, N.Y.: According to News10.com in Albany N.Y., a St. Albans, Vermont man has died following a fiery crash on the Thruway in Ulster N.Y.According to the news report, Vernon Bigelow, 47, of St. Albans was driving a tractor trailer truck when he ran into the back of another truck traveling in front of him.

According to reports, Bigelow’s rig then went out of control, hitting the center guard rail before bursting into flames.

Bigelow died at the scene from injuries in the crash, according to police.

The crash occurred Wednesday evening around 9 pm, according to police.

The roadway was closed for several hours in the area of the crash.

The County Courier has learned that Bigelow was on his way back to Vermont from Shippensburg, Pennsylvania. The day before, Bigelow brought a load of milk product from Oakhurst Dairy in Portland, Maine to Schrieber Foods in Shippensburg, Pennsylvania.

The cause of the crash is still being investigated.
