Francis (John) Hemond

05/09/51 – 07/16/20

ENOSBURG FALLS: Francis (John) Hemond, age 69, was born on May 9, 1951 at his grandparents’ home, Leon and Doris Paquette, in Sampsonville in Enosburgh. 

John was known by many was an avid golfer, and he loved watching baseball and football but golf was his number one love. He also played these sports in high school as well as in his later years. John was a 1969 graduate of Enosburg Falls Junior and Senior High. 

John enlisted into the United States Air Force upon high school graduation, and from there he moved to California where he was employed by the Naval Air Weapons Station China Lake. 

John was full of life, he loved people and he loved his family and all his friends. John’s fight with kidney disease took him away from his family way too soon. He fought a good fight. John will be missed greatly by so many. 

John is survived by his daughter, Keren Christine Hemond of Virginia, and his granddaughter Ivy; his sisters Joyce A. LeClair of Newport, Vermont, and Marlene Sanville and husband Larry of Enosburg Falls. He also leaves many nieces and nephews.  

John was predeceased by this father Francis Hemond and mother Wanda (Paquette) Hemond, and his brother-in-law Frederick A. LeClair, Sr.

‘You are home now and there is no more pain and no more suffering. Fly Higher our Angel until we meet again.’

John will be laid to rest in Ridgecrest, CA.
