Larry “Bug” Newell

GEORGIA: Larry A. “Bug” Newell a longtime Georgia resident, passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, May 18th, 2021, at the University of Vermont Medical Center with his family at his side. Bug was 57 years old.

Bug started his younger years working for his uncle, at Homer Richards’ Tree Service, he was a longtime farmhand at Ballard Acres, Montagne Farms, and Mountain View Dairy.

Bug had a great passion for the outdoors, such as riding around on his lawnmower, playing a friendly game of horseshoes, snowmobiling in the deep snow, “shoeing” away the “Big ONE” during deer season, to cranking his 80’s rock music.

Bug’s greatest LOVE was the time he spent with Ryan and Logan, whether it be ice fishing, pulling them on sleds, a great game of volleyball, shuffling the deck on a Friday night, to something as simple as just crossing paths on that old dirt road.

If you were Bug’s friend, you were his “family”. The unconditional love for his family will never be forgotten.

He is also survived by his sister, Debra Grevatt, her husband, Douglas and their daughter, Fallyn, his father-in-law, William “Pops” Richards, his sister-in-law; Lisa Hayden, her husband Brian, and their son, Nicholas and his girlfriend; Shelby Lang, his sister-in-law Haley Adams and her fiancé , Jason Pollard, his niece, Ashley Johnston, and nephew, John Farr.

Bug is predeceased by his beloved son, Logan “Pog” J. Newell who passed away February 24th, 2013, as well as his father, Lawrence Newell, his sister, Laurie Newell Ryan, and mother-in-law, Ginnie Richards.
