Ricky Thompson

ENOSBURG FALLS – Ricky Thompson, age 61, passed away on Saturday, August 7, 2021 at the University of Vermont Medical Center in Burlington.

He was born in St. Albans, VT on April 19, 1960 to the late Gordon Thompson & Deanna (Elkins) Carr.

Ricky graduated from Enosburg Falls High School and worked in the concrete business for nearly all of his life. He always had a love for horses. He worked with them in the field, woods, and pulling ring. Ricky was very competitive and would do anything to win. Horse pulls, four-wheeler pulls, any game, you name it he was there to win it.

He loved deer hunting, watching the New England Patriots and wrestling, and telling stories. Ricky would often tell stories or fibs just to see if he could get someone to believe it. Ricky will be remembered for his positive attitude, and his icy blue eyes – they would always sparkle!

Ricky is survived by his siblings, James Thompson and his wife Sherry of Enosburgh, Cristal Allain and her wife Charlene Morits of St. Albans, Lucious Thompson and his wife Laurie of Enosburgh, and Roger Carr and his wife Lisa of Berkshire; step-siblings, Dorcas McAllister of Richford, William “Jeff” Gilpin and his partner Barb McNally of Enosburgh, and Matthew Gilpin Sr. and his wife Robin of Enosburgh; step-children, Karrie Lafave and her husband Scott, and Jeremy Ives; step-father, Roger Carr Sr. and his partner Donna Proctor of Alabama; nieces & nephews, Justin, Sonya, Krista, Ryan, Zachary, Ella, Lyndsey, Dakota, Ethan, Serena, Lindsay, Adrianne, Adam, Matt Jr., Bobbi-Ann, Kim, Jessie & Jasmine; and many beloved great nieces & nephews.
