Linda J. Pigeon

RICHFORD: Linda J. Pigeon, age 68, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, September 4, 2021, at her home in Richford.

She was born in Stoneham, MA on October 22, 1952, to the late Arthur and Connie (Filarelli) Landry.

Linda grew up in Avon, MA, and graduated from Avon High School.  At the young age of 17, she met the love of her life, Kenneth Pigeon, and the two were married on May 27, 1973. They began raising their family in Brockton, MA while she worked for the government with her dad until they moved to Richford, Vermont in 1981.  Linda worked at General Electric for several years, then moved on to Northland Hockey Stick Factory, Franklin Foods, and R&D Auto. It was during her time at R&D that she started her computer repair business where she proudly wore the title “Linda Jean the Computer Queen.” When she wasn’t tinkering on a computer, she loved to take adventures and photos on hidden backroads or along Metcalf and Fairfield Ponds. She was famous for her Halloween treats, proudly talked about her tree-climbing adventures when she was younger, her infectious sense of humor, and for being the family jokester. Linda had solid values and was not afraid to stand by them. She was strong, generous, compassionate, and a loving wife, sister, mother, and “Uma” who will be missed greatly.

She is survived by her husband of 48 years, Ken Pigeon of Richford; daughter, Rachel Russin and her husband Stephen of Richford; son, Dale Pigeon and his wife Anni of Richford;  her cherished grandchildren, Rebecca Russin and her fiancé Tyler Giddings, Emily Russin, Jaxen Pigeon, and Charlie Pigeon. She is also survived by her siblings, Carol Costa and her husband John of Avon, MA, Wayne Landry and his wife Mary of Peoria, AZ, and Janet Borden and her husband Bob of Avon, MA;  her siblings-in-law, Steven Pigeon and his wife Sandra of MA, Mark Pigeon and his wife Lori of MA, and Nancy Cohen and her husband Eric of MA; special aunt Dot Filarelli of Franklin; close friend Sonia Holmes of Richford; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Besides her parents, Linda was predeceased by her father-in-law Edgar Pigeon, her mother-in-law Irene Pigeon, and her sisters-in-law Donna Pigeon and Laurie Pigeon.

A private Celebration of Life will be held on Tuesday, September 14, 2021, at 1:00 PM at Linda’s home.
