Joyce A. Green

ENOSBURG FALLS: Joyce A. Green, age 82, passed away on Wednesday, September 28, 2022, surrounded by her loving family at Brownway Residence in Enosburg Falls.

She was born in Sheldon on October 25, 1939, to the late Clyde and Marion (Beyor) Perry.

Joyce grew up living in various communities around Franklin County as her parents did farm work for many families over the years. She married the love of her life, Harold W. Green on February 1st, 1958, and together they raised their family in West Enosburg and then in Enosburg Falls where they eventually made their permanent home.

Joyce enjoyed cooking and baking and going on long rides with her family, something they did most every Sunday afternoon. She and Harold had a strong affection for Mount Mansfield where they loved to take their family for picnics in the mountains. Family trips included going to Santa’s Village in New Hampshire and the Champlain Valley Fair in Essex Jct. She and Harold also used to go to the Tunbridge World’s Fair and the Vermont State Fair, and maple sugaring season found them visiting as many sugar houses as they could.

Joyce loved cats, cardinals, lighthouses, and country music as well as working in her garden. She loved babysitting and she took care of many kids over the years. She looked forward to Christmas every year and she loved her family and her special friend Barb Cassidy.

She is survived by her children, Kathy Stetson and her husband Rev. Tim Stetson of Enosburg Falls, Susan Drown and her husband Kermit Drown of Highgate; grandchildren, Heather Grant and her husband Nathan Grant of Sheldon; Stephanie Menard and her husband Tim Menard of Swanton; David Stetson and his wife Christina Stetson of Enosburg Falls, Daniel Stetson and his wife Kristieanna Stetson of Enosburg Falls; six loving great-grandchildren: Conner, Buddy, Julieanna, Branden, Gwen and Ben; brothers Gerald Perry and his wife Shirley of St. Albans, Arnold Perry and his wife Frieda of Milton; brother-in-law Sherman Adams of Fairfax, sister-in-law Theresa Perry of Enosburg Falls; and several nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents, Joyce is predeceased by her husband Harold; her daughter Linda; her siblings, Frank Perry, Gardner Perry and his wife Dorothy (Combs) Perry, Ramona Dion and her husband Carl Draper, and Leona Adams.

Family and friends are invited to Joyce’s Life Celebration events on Wednesday, October 12, 2022 with visitation from Noon – 2 pm and service at 2 pm at the Goss-Spears Life Celebration Home, 96 Dickinson Ave., Enosburg Falls, VT. Interment will follow in the West Enosburg Cemetery in West Enosburg.
