Town of Fletcher
The legal voters of the Town of Fletcher, Vermont, are hereby notified and warned to meet at the Fletcher Town Office Building, 33 Shaw Road, in the Town of Fletcher on Monday, June 22, 2020 between the hours of eight o’clock (8:00) in the forenoon (a.m.), at which time the polls will open, and seven o’clock (7:00) in the afternoon (p.m.), at which time the polls will close, to vote by Australian ballot upon the following Article of business:
Shall bonds or notes of the Town of Fletcher in an amount not to exceed Five Hundred Ten Thousand Dollars ($510,000), be issued for the purpose of financing the Town’s share of acquiring and constructing a public communications plant, such bonds or notes being payable and secured solely by the net revenues of such plant, the aggrprovements being One Million Twenty Thousand Dollars ($1,020,000)? The legal voters of the Town of Fletcher are further notified that voter qualification, registratisaid special meeting shall be as provided in Chapters 43, 51 and 55 of Title 17, Vermont Statutes Annotated. In order to protect Town Office staff and to reduce Town Office traffic on the date of the vote, registered voters are encouraged to call the Town Office (849-6616) to request an absentee ballot a few weeks prior to the vote. The legal voters of the Town of Fletcher are further notified that a virtual informational hearing will be held on Monday, June 15, 2020 at seven o’clock (7:00) in the afternoon (p.m.) using Zoom, for the purpose of explaining the proposed improvements and the financing thereof.
