BUSY DAY IN FAIRFIELD

Last week police charged a man with Careless and Negligent Operation of a Motor Vehicle as well as Leaving the Scene of an Accident. That same day, officers charged a woman with Domestic Assault.

Turns out the two charged were connected.

According to court records, Meaghan Nolan, 18, of Hyde Park was cleaning her possesions out of Zachery Bessette’s home in Fairfield.

Bessette came home while Nolan was there and surprised Nolan, according to testimony in court records.

Nolan and Bessette allegedly began to argue, then Nolan punched Bassette.

The incident magnified when Bassette left the home and Nolan followed him.

Allegedly a road rage incident ensued, where Bessette slammed on his brakes, causing Nolan to go off the road behind him.

Bassette then left the scene of the crash.

Bassette is due in court on the driving charges on October 31st.

Nolan was arraigned on Friday to the charge of Domestic Assault. She pleaded not guilty to the charge.
