Warren “Pete” Farrar
RICHFORD: Warren “Pete” Farrar, age 86, passed away on Thursday, March 12, 2020, at the Franklin County Rehab Center in St. Albans with his wife by his side.
He was born in Montgomery Center on March 18, 1933, the son of the late Warren and Dorcas (Lafountain) Farrar.
Warren graduated from Enosburg Falls High School and then he served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. Warren worked as a mechanic at Gabe Larose’s Garage in Enosburg Falls under the G.I. Bill for several years. He then went on to work for Blue Seal Feeds, as a truck driver, retiring in 1994 after 33 years.
He loved car racing, drag racing, snowmobiling, and going to antique and classic car shows with his friends. Warren especially enjoyed spending time with his beloved grandchildren and greatgrandchildren
He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Maxine (Elkins) Farrar of Richford; children, Sherry Farrar of Georgia, Randy Farrar and his wife Martha of South Richford, Lee Ann Farrar of Milton, and Brian C. Farrar and his wife Holly of South Richford; seven grandchildren, Eric, Liza, Ben, Rebecca, Jessica, Sarah, and Mason; and 16 great-grandchildren, Morgan, Logan, Ashlyn, Ethan, Jada, Sage, Sélah, Natalya, Legend, Mason, Hailey, Keagan, Tristyn, Trélyn, Libby, and Beric. Besides his parents, Pete was predeceased by his sister, Lillias, and brother, Douglas.
In keeping with Warren’s wishes, there will be no services.
The Farrar family would like to thank Lauren, Marie, and all of the great staff at Franklin County Rehab for the exceptional care Warren received.
