Harold “Charlie” St. Francis Sr

HIGHGATE SPRINGS, VT – Harold “Charlie” St. Francis Sr, age 53 passed away peacefully at home on the evening of Easter Sunday, April 12, 2020.

He was born September 11, 1966 in St. Albans, VT to Patricia (Partlow) St. Francis and the late Homer W. St. Francis Sr. 

He was very proud of his Abenaki heritage and it showed in the handmade crafts he created. He loved to fish, hunt, and making people laugh. He did some awesome impersonations and was a jokester at times. He was very proud of the fine young men his four boys became and also proud of his grandchildren. He worked at Swanton packing, Pizzagalli construction, Winco, J. A. McDonald’s over the years.

He survived by his mother, Patsy, his sons, Harold “little Charlie” St. Francis Jr., Wade St. Francis & his partner Brooke Wallentine, Ryan St. Francis & his partner Kara Trombley, and Cole St. Francis & his partner Truc Truc Lam, his grandchildren Brighton Rae, Patrick Joseph “PJ”, Hudson Douglas, and Ezra Robert, his sisters and brother in laws Doris & David Brownell, April & Bill Merrill whom he made his home with for the past year, his brother David St. Francis, His nieces and nephews, Casey Brown & her children CJ & Lillian, Rene St. Francis & his partner Samantha Brace, & their children Zoe, Kayla, & Tannis, Jesse Forsyth & his partner Mikayla Sweetser & children Gavin & Garrett, Paige, Morgan & Frankie Brownell. His aunt Maggie St. Francis who was like a sister to him, His lifelong friend who was like his brother Todd Thomas, his good friends Paul Burleson, Roger Corey, Jack Dinsmore & Jody Giroux, as well as several aunts, uncles, cousins.

He was predeceased by his father Homer St. Francis SR 7/7/01 and his older brother Homer St. Francis II 5/11/18.

Charlie’s family would like to extend sincere Thanks to those who helped care for Charlie, Dr. Dennis Sanders, Dr. Amy Fox and All of their staff whom Charlie enjoyed harassing from time to time. Also, Thank You to the many friends Charlie made while having chemotherapy he enjoyed your company. Dr. Suzan White, Michelle Kearney, Hal and the staff at Hope & Recovery Clinic.

Due to the current circumstances, memorial services and burial will be held at a later date.
