Hilda Lois Howard
WESTFORD: Hilda Lois Howard, 80, passed away peacefully on Thursday August 13, 2020. She was born on January 9, 1940 in Burlington, Vermont, the daughter of the late Michael Sanderson and the late Ardell Sanderson. She was the youngest of nine children.
Hilda married Richard Howard on September 6, 1958, who predeceased her on May 4, 2007.
In her earlier years Hilda loved to go play Bingo and go to the Champlain Valley Fair. Her favorite singer and idol was Elvis Presley. She enjoyed our big family gatherings and loved spending time with her children and grandchildren.
Hilda is survived by her children, Richard Howard Jr. of Westford, Christian Howard Sr. and his wife Sharon of Fairfax, Carlene Partlow of St. Albans, Deborah Manning of South Hero, Tammy Howard and Mitchell Bunnell of Fairfax, and Jonathan Howard of Fairfax; 15 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren; and her very special great-great-grandchild Aaron Christian Howard Jr. Hilda also leaves many special nieces and nephews, and her special friend Mark Mayville of Westford.
Hilda was predeceased by her special grandson, Eric Howard, on November 16, 2005, her sons-in-law, Todd Partlow and Kevin Manning, as well as her beloved dog Mitzy.
A Celebration of Life for family and friends will be held on Sunday, August 30, 2020 at 2:00 pm at Chris and Sharon’s home 203 Rood Mill Road, Fairfax, VT 05454
