MISSING VERMONT TEEN HAS TIES TO FRANKLIN COUNTY, POLICE SAY

State Police are looking for 17-year old Alexys Grundy of Calais, Vermont- and she may be in the Franklin County area.

Grundy was last seen, according to police, when she left her residence in Calais on Tuesday around midnight. Troopers were notified about 15 minutes later, and began looking for the young lady.

Police believe Grundy ran away from the residence, but being under the age of 18, she is still considered a minor in the eyes of the law, so police are actively looking for her whereabouts.

Detective Deargent Amber Keener said Grundy has ties to both the Burlington and St. Albans Area, and are asking for people in those regions to be on the lookout for the teen.

This is not the first time Grundy has run away from her home. Police sought the public’s help in October of 2019 after she ran away from a home in Weathersfield. She was located three days later by members of the St. Albans Police Department.
