Steven “Murf” Murphy
Sebastian, FL / Highgate, VT: Steven Ronald “Murf” Murphy, 71, of Sebastian, FL, joined his loved ones in Heaven on Friday, June 18, 2021.
Steve was born in St. Albans, August 1, 1949, the son of Gladys and John Murphy.
He had been a resident of Sebastian, FL, for 36 years, coming from Highgate, Vermont. Steve married Diane Brosseau Murphy on March 15, 1969.
Steve worked in the limestone quarry early in his life. He also worked in construction and built homes with his brother. He then worked in the dairy industry for several years before moving to Florida in 1985. While in Florida, he worked primarily in citrus with a few years in construction building luxury homes on John’s Island.
Steve was survived by his spouse Diane Brosseau Murphy; daughters, Melissa (Robert) Heath, Sharon (Robert) Arnold, and Tracey (Robert) Stillwaggon; his son, Jacob (Joell) Murphy; grandchildren Alice Gladfelter, Alisa Heath, Joshua Heath, Damian Arnold, Autumn Arnold, Philip Murphy, and Brooke Stillwaggon; and eight great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his siblings, Shirley Lapan, John Murphy Jr., Debby Corliss, and Kathy Pasha.
Steve was predeceased by his parents.
