Timothy Patrick Connolly
St Albans – Timothy Patrick Connolly, 64, a lifelong area resident unexpectedly left this earth on December 07, 2021. Tim’s family and friends will find comfort in remembering him as a witty, caring and gentle soul, who will forever be missed.
Timothy was born the second child to Harold Connolly and Beverly Loomis on September 12, 1957. He spent his life in the St. Albans area, attending BFA for his high school years. For most of his working life he was employed at IBM/Globalfoundries, and most recently at Green Mountain Coffee.
Tim cared deeply for the St. Albans community, especially ensuring opportunity for the youth. He spent many years coaching BFA Soccer and Girls’ Softball, and is fondly remembered by those who played for him as ‘Mr. C.’ No matter who you were or what was happening, you could always count on getting a laugh and a smile brought to your face from Timothy. Tim loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He was lovingly referred to as “the baby whisperer,” able to calm any child when holding them.
Timothy is survived by his wife, Melinda. He also leaves behind his children Thomas Connolly (Nikki Connolly), Trevor Connolly (Bailey Buckley) and Tanner Connolly (Hannah Mason); his stepchildren Layla Weide (Mike Elcano), Skylar Weide, Tristan Weide (Kayla Joslyn Weide); his brothers Kevin Connolly (Kelly Connolly) and Jason McGee; niece Taylor Connolly; and the mother of his children, Debbie Boardman. He is further survived by his stepmother Barbara Guenther Connolly; and half siblings Karen Weissinger (Tom Weissinger) and family, and Michael Connolly and family, all of Maryland. Perhaps his greatest treasures, he leaves behind are his grandchildren who fondly referred to him as Grampy/Poppy Tim – Madilyn and Leo Connolly; Elaina, Harlow and Bristol Connolly; and Landon and Hudson Weide.
Timothy was predeceased by both of his parents and his grandson, Luke Connolly.
The family would like to extend their appreciation to the many people who have already shared stories and memories, and expressed their sympathies. They take comfort in knowing how many people were touched by Tim’s presence.
