Stephen B. Tracy Sr.

RICHFORD: Stephen B. Tracy Sr., age 72, passed away on Monday, February 7, 2022, at his home surrounded by family.

He was born in St. Albans on August 18, 1949, to the late Burton and Joanne (Rogers) Tracy.

Steve married Angela (Currier) Tracy on September 12, 1992, and the two raised their family in East Richford. Steve and Angela enjoyed countless 4-wheeler rides, trips to the ocean, and spending time with their grandchildren. He was a meticulous worker and retired from Blue Seal Feeds after 42 ½ years. Although Steve was quiet, he was a prankster— one of his biggest joys in life was getting people going for a good laugh. He loved hunting and fishing with his family and friends, watching his children and grandchildren play sports, gardening, relaxing under his apple tree with a cold one, spending time at camp and the sugar house, and going for rides with his beloved dog, Bailey. He was humble, unassuming, and had the kindest heart.

He is survived by his loving wife of 30 years, Angela Tracy of Richford; children, Jennifer Marcoux and her husband Jeff of Richford, Stephen Tracy Jr. of St. Albans, Rebekah Labelle and her husband Mark of East Fairfield, Christopher Tracy Sr. and his wife Kristin of Richford, and Michael Tracy and his wife Anna of Richford; cherished grandchildren, Emily, Jocelyn, Joseph, Rachel, Melissa, Bennett, Ashley, Katie, Lindsey, Kristie, Chris Jr., Melody, Payton, Norah, Boden, and Paxton; great grandchildren, Jolynn, Audrey, Faylin, and two on the way; sisters, Sandra Pitman of Brattleboro, Sally Desautels and her husband Gilbert of Richford, Sherree Longe and her husband Rick of Richford, Shelly Woods and her husband Jim of Richford, and Sheila Hardy and her husband Gilles of Berkshire; sister-in-law, Georgette Provencher and her husband Paul of Milton; several nieces and nephews; special friends, Bonnie and Dee-Dee; all of the crew of East Richford; and his co-pilot, Bailey.

Besides his parents, Steve was predeceased by his father and mother-in-law, Arthur Sr. and Helen Currier; brothers-in-law, Arthur Currier Jr., and David Pitman; and nephew, Joshua Erno.

For those who wish contributions in Steve’s memory may be made to Franklin County Home Health, Hospice Program, Home Health Circle St. Albans, VT 05478.

A graveside service will be held this spring at the Richford Center Cemetery.
