Larry Bovat
ENOSBURGH: Larry Bovat, age 56, passed away on Wednesday, January 25th, 2023, at the UVM Medical Center in Burlington with his family by his side.
He was born in St. Albans on September 26, 1966, to the late Howard and Barbara (King) Bovat.
Larry graduated from BFA St. Albans. Farming was a huge part of Larry’s life, he enjoyed horses and had three of his own. He enjoyed riding them with his wife Phyllis and watching his kids ride them as well. Larry served as a volunteer firefighter for over 20 years with the Sheldon Fire Department. Larry then went on to become a school bus driver, he drove the entire time his kids were in school. Larry loved his train collection along with his matchboxes as well. Hunting and fishing were a few of his favorite things to do. He enjoyed watching his favorite movie, 8 Below, and always enjoyed going to KFC for his favorite foods. Larry was a loving and caring son, father, and husband and always someone who his family could depend on. He adored his three pug dogs. He liked Christmas and had a special singing bear that he would always have for the holidays; he enjoyed decorating the outdoors.
He is survived by his wife, Phyllis Bovat; mother, Barbara Collins; children, Sierra Lacoste and partner Laci Baker, and George Lacoste; siblings, Michael Bovat and his wife Kathy, Robert Bovat and his wife Heidi, David Kittell and his wife Angela, and Debbie Domina; stepmom, Beverly Bovat; and several in-laws, aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.
Larry was predeceased by his father Howard Bovat; stepfather, Joseph Kittell; grandmother, Elizabeth King; and special friend Percy Capsey.
In keeping with Larry’s wishes there will be no public services.
