Charlotte E. “Skipper” Gratton

ST. ALBANS: On April 16, 2023, our mom went to join the love of her life, Leo “Butnut” in heaven. Skipper was born on December 7, 1928, the daughter of the late Alexander and Sarah (Zweeres) Paquette.

On September 16, 1946, she married Leo “Butnut” Gratton who was her love and best friend for sixty-one great years.

Skipper is survived by her daughter Sandra Boudreau and her husband Wayne, her sons David Gratton & Stacy Gratton; five grandchildren Scott, Justin, Dakota, Liam, and Mark, four great-grandchildren Curtis, Cassie, Maya, Madelyn and another one on the way; numerous nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her faithful guard cat, Dumass, whom she loved very much.

In addition to Butnut, Skipper was proceeded in death by her parents Alex and Sarah Paquette, three sisters Doris Pelican, Catherin Quebec, and Lorraine Root, and five brothers Hubert, Robert, Clifford, Clinton, and Alex Jr.

Skipper enjoyed their Saturday night card parties with many good friends, parties at the pond at their camp and family lot, and visits from the grandkids. She also loved her flower gardens and worked tirelessly on them.

At her request, there will be no services.
