Paul Emile Charbonneau
SWANTON: Paul Emile Charbonneau, age 65, passed into his next life peacefully on Saturday, August 19, 2023.
He was born on June 18, 1958, the youngest of four, to Charles and Jeannette Charbonneau of Swanton.
Paul graduated from Missisquoi Valley Union High School in 1976. After graduating he spent four years in the U.S. Army as a Recon Specialist before returning home to work for his father at Charbonneau’s Body Shop. He pursued the construction industry briefly until he eventually found his love for driving tractor trailers. For many years, he operated his car hauling business, PLC Trucking, driving the eastern coast hauling “snowbirds.” Paul had retired recently to enjoy his life with his wife.
Paul is survived by his wife April, daughter Chelsey Lawyer and husband Mark, step-daughter Brittnee Berube and fiancé Chris; his sisters Jackie Heck and husband Bill, and Diane Martin and husband James; grandchildren Addison and Landon Lawyer; and many nieces and nephews.
Paul is predeceased by his parents Charles and Jeannette Charbonneau and his brother Charlie Charbonneau and his wife Denise.
