Steven Mark Babbie
ST. ALBANS: Steve Babbie, a lifelong resident, moved on to the “Happy Hunting Grounds” of his youth that he and his brother Rick dreamed about.
Steve was born on August 27, 1955, the son of Raymond and Janet Babbie. Steve leaves his older brother Scott (Debbie) and younger brother Rick. Steve also leaves his niece Melissa (WA) and nephew Curtis (VT) whom he thought the world of. Steve also leaves his cousin Melody Martin who has been a major support to his mother and siblings, as well as his very special canine companion Luigi.
Steve was predeceased by his father, Raymond, in 2016 and his “very special friend” Christine Malboeuf in 2008.
Steve attended school at Holy Angels and Central Catholic, then BFA St. Albans. Steve served in the U.S. Army in the 70s as a postal clerk in Germany. He retired from Champlain Cable Corporation after many years of service. Steve had a passion for hunting and firearms.
Steve will be remembered for his kind generous heart. Steve helped many in his life, he had many in his life that he called family. When asked who to list in his obituary, he replied “I can’t pick one to start with.” Everyone was number “1” on his list. You all know who you are and the special place you had in Steve’s heart.
