Paul J. Brulotte

ST. ALBANS/RICHFORD: Paul J. Brulotte, 84 years old, passed away on November 26, 2019, at the Northwestern Medical Center. He was born on October 5, 1935, in Mansonville, Quebec, the son of Napoleon and Beatrice (Coutu) Brulotte.

Paul came to the United States in 1954 and worked on Armand Duchaine’s farm for nine years; then he was employed by H.K.Webster for 29 years until 1989.

On September 13, 1958, Paul married Priscilla (Longey) of Richford. They lived in Swanton for a short time, then returned to Richford and have lived at their current residence for the last 54 years.

Paul loved to take family trips with their four sons, quite often being educational trips to places including Washington, D.C. and the Smithsonian, Clark’s Bears, Old Man of the Mountain, Frontier Town, Canada Village, various Zoos, Ausable Chasm, and Corning Glass, to name a few. Many summer weekends they would pack up their travel camper and head to the Homestead Campground in Georgia, Vt.

Paul was an avid reader and, being very mechanically minded, he was frequently tinkering and fixing. He was known to never sit still and was always helping someone. When Paul wasn’t working the second shift at H.K.Webster (today known as Blue Seal Feeds or Kent Nutrition Group), he could be found in his garage fixing machines or motors,  off helping a friend doing the same, up at Gene Pyndus’ store, on his tractor either plowing or harrowing depending upon the time of the year, or helping Chet at the Parsons’ farm throwing bales among other needs for extra hands on a farm; or whatever was needed as a good neighbor and friend.

Besides his wife, Priscilla of 61 years, Paul is survived by his sons, Joseph (friend Dixie) of White River Jct., Mark (Robin) of Shelby, NC, Raymond (friend Carleen) of Los Gatos, CA, and Andy (Rose) and their daughter, Chelsea (whom Paul loved to tease) of Crescent City, FL.

He also leaves his sister Donalda of Montreal Que., his brother André of Stanbridge East, Que.; nieces, nephews, and cousins who are mostly located in Canada; as well as many friends.

Besides his parents, Paul was predeceased by his twin sons who passed away at birth; his brothers Arthur and Victor; and his sisters Viola, Agnes, and Marie Berthe.

Services will be in the Spring at the convenience of the family. Interment will be at the Richford Center Cemetery on South Richford Road.

Should you so desire, memorial gifts will be appreciated to the Richford Fire Department PO Box 236 Richford, VT 05476 or the Franklin County Humane Society 30 Sunset Meadows, St. Albans, VT 05478.
