Helen E. (Lamoureux) Armour
HARRINGTON, DE: Helen Elodie (Lamoureux) Armour passed away peacefully May 5, 2021 at The Delaware Hospice Center in Milford, Delaware.
Helen was born on February 23, 1933 in Enosburg Falls, Vermont, to Joseph and Lillian (Lafley) Lamoureux. She is survived by her three children, Lloyd J. Armour Sr. of Harrington, Donna (Richard) Hurd of Harrington and Jeffrey J. Armour Sr. (Tomasina) of Greenwood; a brother, Paul (Dorothy) Lamoureux, sisters, Joan Kane, Grace (Bill) Jones, Mary (Richard) Ewins, Margaret Elkins, and sister-in-law, Rose Lamoureux, all from Vermont. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Lloyd J. Armour Jr., Nicole Mahoney, Kasie Hurd, Heather Patterson, Andrea Hurd, Jeffrey J. Armour Jr., and 14 great-grandchildren; a daughter-in law, Ruth Armour; and her very special friends, Betsey Larose (Marcel Parent) and their daughter, Brooke Parent.
Helen enjoyed crocheting, doing crossword, jigsaw, and seek and find puzzles, watching the Game Show Network, the many birds she kept well-fed, and baseball games, especially the Washington Nationals. She will be remembered by the countless stories she told about growing up on the family farm in Berkshire, Vermont, her honesty, love of family, and no-nonsense nature. Helen will be dearly missed by everyone.
She is predeceased by her husband, Donald R. Armour, her parents, Joseph and Lillian Lamoureux and her brothers, Joseph and Patrick Lamoureux.
Per her request, services will be private.
The family suggests donations be made in her memory to The Delaware Hospice Center, 100 Patriot’s Way, Milford, DE 19963.
