Thomas Wayne DeForge

ST. ALBANS: Thomas Wayne DeForge a longtime area resident passed away in the comfort of his home on Friday, April 19th, 2024, with his family at his side. Born in Montpelier, Vermont on August 4th, 1953, he was the son of the late William and Sylvia (Boyte) DeForge, Sr. Tom was 70 years old.

On July 9th, 1977, in St. Augustine Church in Montpelier, he married Cherri Kehoe, who survives him.

Tom was educated in Montpelier and was a 1971 graduate of Montpelier High School. He was a longtime manager at Sunshine Cleaners and retired from North Country Linen Service.

Tom loved cooking and gardening. Most of all Tom loved spending time with his family, including attending dance shows and competitions for his daughters and granddaughter, or hockey, and soccer games and tournaments for his son, grandson, and granddaughter.

Survivors include his wife of 46 years, Cherri, and their children, Patrick DeForge, Aimee DeForge, and Katie DeForge as well as his grandchildren, Jacob DeForge Ross, Ayla Mae Nichols, Ryan Xavier Cobb, and Kayden Matthew Cobb, and a special friend, Michael Cody.

In addition to his parents, Tom is predeceased by his brother and two sisters.

Tom’s family will receive friends on Saturday, April 27th, from 3 – 4 pm at the Heald Funeral Home, 87 South Main Street, St. Albans. A funeral service will follow at 4 pm with Pastor Jessica Moore officiating.

At Tom’s family’s request, memorials in his name may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, 225 North Michigan Avenue – Floor 17, Chicago, Illinois 60601.
