GOP FILES COMPLAINT AGAINST DEMOCRATS
The Vermont Republican Party has filed a complaint against the Democrats, including the Democratic candidate for Governor, Sue Minter.
Planned Parenthood’s Political Action Committee allegedly conspired with Minter, as well as other Democrats.
The allegation accuses Minter of working with planned parenthood to advance her campaign for Governor.
According to the Republicans, Planned Parenthood sent out a survey to Vermont Democrats asking if they would like to be endorsed by Planned Parenthood or not.
“A quid-pro-quo at the conclusion of the survey, stating they expect an endorsed candidate to vote 100% of the time in support of Planned Parenthood Action Fund’s positions if elected.” said a release from the Republican Committee.
The allegation is that the quid-pro-quo is linking the PAC with Minter and the other Democrats that agreed to the terms of Planned Parenthood’s endorsement.
A ruling as yet to be released by Attorney General William Sorrell.
