FISKE WITH HEARTY LEAD OVER WEED IN ‘BURGH

The first numbers of the evening are in and they are from Enosburgh.

Leading in the two-town district for House Rep is Larry Fiske with a vote tally of 671 to 537 over rival Cindy Weed.

Montgomery’s votes still need to be added to Enosburgh’s to determine a winner.

This year was a rematch of the 2014 race between the two.

Montgomery hand counts their ballots, so tabulating is expected to take several hours.

Incumbent Larry Fiske has served just one term in the Statehouse. He defeated Cindy Weed in 2014.

The heated race for State Rep has fueled the fire to an already contentious election season nationally. The Town of Enosburgh saw roughly a 50% voter turnout.

Also notable in Enosburgh, Phil Scott was showing a sizable lead at 715-401 over Sue Minter in Enosburgh.

For Lt. Governor Randy Brock leads David Zuckerman 706 to 498.
