BARRE: Defending champion Fair Haven punched its ticket to the Division II championship with a convincing, 56-20 win over (No. 4) Enosburg in Monday’s semifinal at Barre Auditorium.

Though the Hornets held the top-seeded Slaters (23-0) to just three points in the second quarter, offense was hard to come by on Monday. Enosburg (19-4) trailed 18-5 at halftime and did most of its scoring in the fourth quarter with the game long over.

Senior Hannah Burns led Enosburg with 11 points on the night. Madison St. Onge hit a three for the Hornets and Emily Adams, Megan Severance and Sophie Burns each finished with two points.

Fair Haven was led by 25 points from Kerigan Disorda and moves on to play the winner of Wednesday’s semifinal between (2) North Country and (3) Harwood in Saturday’s Division II title game.

The County Courier will run complete coverage of the Hornet’s Semifinal matchup in this week’s print edition.
