ROWELL TO RUN WRITE-IN CAMPAIGN FOR FRANKLIN-5 HOUSE REP
Two days before Vermont’s Statewide Primary, the Franklin Republican County Republican Committee has announced that they have recruited Highgate resident Brian Rowell to be a write-in for the remaining open seat in the Franklin-5 race for Vermont House.
Thus far, the Republicans had only put up one candidate, Lisa Hango, to advance to the November general election.
The Republican committee is asking voters to write in Rowell for the Franklin-5 district, which encompasses Highgate, Franklin, Berkshire, and Richford.
Rowell, along with his brother Bill Rowell, owns and operates one of the largest dairy operations in the State. If elected, he would likely be the only current dairy farmer in the Legislature.
Polls in each town close at 7 pm on Tuesday.
