Camilla Myers

SOUTH BURLINGTON: Camilla Myers, 85, of South Burlington passed away on October 30, 2020. She was born to Lloyd and Beatrice (Domina) Sylvester. 

Camilla graduated from Enosburg Falls High School and moved to Burlington where she met and married Francis Myers. They raised a family together, and later in life, they were active in their community of faith as they served at funeral luncheons and in the Blue Army for many years. They also worked for several years with special needs ministries for children and adults.

Camilla is survived by her loving family, Patricia Myers, Jacqueline (Paul) Quintal, Joseph (Mary) Myers, Bernadette (Maureen) Myers-Tinney, Andrew (Bobbi) Myers, Camilla (Doug) Perkins, Edward Myers, 20 grandchildren, and three great grandchildren. 

Camilla also leaves her brother Leonard (Mary) Sylvester, sisters and brothers-in-law Genevieve (William) Croll, Charles (Joanne) Myers, Ivey Myers, and many neices, nephews, great neices and nephews, and many cousins and friends.

She is predeceased by her husband, Francis Myers, sister Lorraine (Paul) Cameron, sisters and brothers-in-law, Delima (Bernard) Wright, Bernadette (Ron) Hart, Isadore Myers, Paul Myers,  grandsons, David Perkins and Francis James Myers, and nephew, Paul Myers.   

The family is very grateful to all of Mom’s caregivers including Maureen, Maggie, Midge, Maria, Carla, Birchwood Terrace, and TLC. 

Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday, November 4, 2020, from 4 to 6pm at Ready Funeral Home, 261 Shelburne Road, Burlington, VT. A recitation of the rosary will be led at 3:30pm.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, November 5, 2019, at 11am at St. John Vianney Church, 160 Hinesburg Road, South Burlington, VT. Burial will follow at Resurrection Park.

Donations in Camilla’s name may be made to the Christ Our Hope campaign at St. John Vianney Church.
