Ricky Alan Billado

RICHFORD – Ricky Alan Billado, age 59, husband of Carrie Alene (Cole) Billado, died Saturday afternoon, April 24, 2021, at his home with his loving family at his side.

He was born June 30, 1961, in St. Albans, Vermont, to the late Robert William Billado Sr. and Velma Irene (LaFrance) Billado. He grew up on Bismark Street in Enosburg Falls. When he finished school, he immediately entered the workforce where he held jobs with F.E. Hart Fence Company, A.C. Hawthorne Roofing, and A. Brown Auto and Home Store. He served in the U.S. Army and the Vermont Army National Guard as well and, at one point, owned and operated Billado Auto Repair and Towing. Most recently, he was employed at Century International Arms, Inc. in Fairfax/Georgia, Vermont. He married Carrie Alene Cole on May 25th, 2019.

Ricky loved spending time with family and friends, and he loved to have fun. When not working, he could be found hunting or fishing with his children and grandchildren, four-wheeling with friends, puttering around in his small engine shop, or playing music with his buddies. He and Carrie loved to go camping, and they loved to ride his motorcycle too. He was proud of his Native American heritage, and he was proud to be an Army veteran.  

He is survived by his wife Carrie of Richford; his children, Angela Cooper and her husband Jason of Enosburg Falls, Shawn Billado and his wife Helen of Trion, Georgia, and Colby Garrow and Rebecca Garrow of Richford; his grandchildren, Kaitlynn, Meghan, and Riley Donna, and Skyler, Bentley, and Mia Cooper, and also Skylar Billado; siblings, Carolyn Cooper and her husband John of Enosburg Falls, Connie Barton and her husband William of Goldsboro, NC, Robert Billado Jr. of Enosburgh, Susan Rice of Cedartown, Georgia, Ruthanne Cooper and her husband Frederick of Franklin, Doreen Corey and her husband Ernest of Franklin, Jeffery Billado Sr. of Bakersfield, and Tammy LaPan and her husband Todd of Richford; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents Robert Sr. and Velma Billado; sisters, Diana Lagrow and Joyce Howard; and a nephew John Cooper Jr.  

Friends and family are invited to Ricky’s life celebration to include visiting hours on Friday, April 30, 2021, from 4-7:00 PM, at the Goss-Spears Life Celebration Home, 96 Dickinson Avenue, Enosburg Falls and a funeral service on Saturday, May 1, 2021 at 2:00 PM at the same location. Interment will follow at the Missisquoi Cemetery in Enosburg Falls.
