Claire M. Benoit
FRANKLIN: Claire M. Benoit, age 68, died at her home with her loving family by her side, on Wednesday, June 23, 2021.
She was born on May 30, 1953 in Saint Albans, daughter of Salime Joseph Benoit and Doris Mary Samson.
Claire was a BFA St. Albans graduate. She owned and operated the Tunes Music Store on Lake Street in St. Albans. Claire obtained her Bachelor’s degree, and was employed at VOC Rehab. She was an amazing person.
Claire enjoyed playing with her granddaughters and having sleepover parties with them. She loved spending time with her family and friends, listening to music, writing, gardening, and going to Laconia Motorcycle week every year.
Claire is survived by her two sons, Shawn Benoit and his wife Carmen of Alburgh, and Jamie Benoit and his wife Donna of Saint Albans; granddaughters Jillian and Orion Benoit, step granddaughter Kierra R. Smith, step grandsons Michael Capsey and his wife Elizabeth, and A.J. Santor. She is also survived by her special friend and niece Monique Bates; her brother Norman Benoit and his wife Jaqueline, and sisters Evelyn Ashline and her husband Robert, and Mary Shorey and her husband Dennis.
She was predeceased by her sister Dorthy Scanlon and her brother Leo Benoit.
A celebration of her life will be held at the Highgate Methodist Church on Saturday, July 10th at 2pm.
