Yvonne (Crepeau) Shover
ST. ALBANS: Yvonne M. (Crepeau) Shover died on Thursday, July 22, 2021 at Homestead South in St. Albans, VT with her family at her bedside.
Yvonne was born on September 1, 1927 in St. Bridgette, Quebec. She married Ted (Cedric) Shover on April 21, 1948 and spent most of her life in Enosburg Falls, VT. In later years she and Ted made their home in Florida for quite a few years and then returned back to Vermont to be closer to their grandchildren. She volunteered for over 10 years at the Ronald McDonald Family Room inside the VT Children’s Hospital; she also volunteered at the snack bar for the Ronald McDonald House Bingo.
Yvonne was predeceased by her son, Timothy (identical twin to Tom) and her husband Ted.
She leaves behind her children Mike, his wife, Irene; Tom, his wife, Deb; Steve; MaryLynn and her partner, Dave. She leaves four grandchildren, Jessica Dubois, her husband Alex; Christina Kemp Bennet, her husband Mike; Tim and Christopher Shover. She also leaves four great-grandchildren: Neveah, Mackenzie, Kayleigh and Alaina.
The family would like to thank Max and Sunny from Bayada Hospice Care and the staff of Homestead South for their care and compassion.
Per Yvonne’s wishes, there were be no calling hours. A Mass of Christian Burial was be celebrated on Wednesday, July 28th at 11:00 AM at St. Lawrence Church in Essex Junction, VT. Burial will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery in St. Albans, VT.
In lieu of flowers, please make a donation in Yvonne’s memory to the Ronald McDonald House, 16 South Winooski Avenue, Burlington, VT. LaVigne Funeral Service is in charge of arrangements.
