Gary Wayne St. Francis Jr.

Union Grove, WI – Gary Wayne St. Francis Jr. passed away on January 6th, 2022, at Ascension All Saint Hospital in Racine, Wisconsin.

Gary was born in Marlborough, Massachusetts to Gary and Beatrice (nee. Hakey) St. Francis Sr on September 5, 1964. His dad lovingly nicknamed him Augie and they continued to know him by that name throughout his Army career. Gary graduated high school in Foxboro, MA in 1983. He immediately joined the Army and served in Korea and two tours in Germany until 1994. After a few career changes, he found an interest and success in truck driving for more than 20 years.

Gary was an avid softball player and spent his weekends with friends riding motorcycles. His greatest joy in life was being a devoted, proud and loving dad. Gary was extremely selfless, generous, and dependable. He had the most amazing sense of humor and was always ready for any adventure. Gary was nicknamed Goose for his infamous handlebar mustache. He was proud of his Native American heritage and belonged to the Abenaki Nation of Missisquoi tribe.

Gary is survived by his son, Dakota and daughter, Jaycie; his parents, Gary Sr. and Beatrice of Swanton; siblings, Gerri (Mike Cadieux) St. Francis of Pawtucket, RI, Gina (Skip) Lewis of Alburgh, Ginny (James) Derosia of Alburgh; fiancé, Michelle Pelletier; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and friends.

Gary was preceded in death by all four of his grandparents.

A memorial service will be held at a later date, to be determined.
