Earl (Skip) Grant Putnam III

ST. ALBANS, VT: Earl a longtime resident of St. Albans, passed away, June 18, 2022 at the University of Vermont Medical Center in Burlington, VT with his loving family by his side.

Earl was born in St. Albans, on March 20th, 1961, the son of Emily (Johnson) and Earl Putnam Jr.

Earl married the love of his life and best friend Karen (White) Putnam. They shared a life together for 41 years and were three days shy of their 42nd anniversary together.

Earl was a long-time farmer. He served in the Vermont Army National Guard for 18 years and achieved the rank of SGT. Earl had a passion and took pride in serving his country.

Earl loved to hunt and fish. He enjoyed his westerns, he loved to bake bread and make donuts with his sister, Candy. He especially loved his afternoon card and board games with his wife Karen. He also loved being with his daughters and getting special visits from his grandchildren.

Earl is survived by his loving wife Karen Putnam and his fur son Sabre; his siblings and their spouses, Robin Putnam and her wife Tracey Haycroft, Candy and her husband Charlie Clair. He also his daughters and their spouses: Heather and Allen Aiken Jr., Haley and David Turner Jr., and Heidi and Adam Thompson; and his beloved grandchildren: Madison, Connor, Brody, Emily, Isaac, Destiny, Desiree, Raymond, Serenitey and Blake. He is also survived by his mother-in-law Diane White, Karen’s brothers and sisters and their spouses along with many nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles.

Earl is predeceased by his parents Emily and Earl Putnam Jr., Nephew Joey Clair and his father-in-law Maurice White.

Per Earl’s wishes, there will be no services held. We will be celebrating his life with his family and friends at a later date. His life was special and he meant a lot to so many. We find it important to cherish what he gave to others. He has touched so many lives.
