Nancy Lee Parrott

July 4, 1945 – July 22, 2022

ST. ALBANS,VT: Nancy Lee Parrott, 77 passed away peacefully on July 22,2022, in her home with her daughters by her side.

Nancy was born on July 4, 1945 in Burlington, the daughter of Ethel (Lamotte) King and the late Frank King Sr.

Nancy married her best friend and love of her life Gary Lee Parrott on May 18, 1963.They shared 58 years of marriage before Gary’s passing on January 15, 2022. Nancy was a stay-at-home mom until she took a job at Plastic Monofil for 36 years before retiring.

Nancy enjoyed garage sales on Saturday mornings, and dinner on Sunday afternoons with her daughters and their families. She loved having BBQs, grandchildren birthday parties, and being by the pool with her family. When her family was young summers were spent camping with her siblings, cousins and in-laws at Lone Pine Campground. Nancy was always taking pictures or videos with her Vintage 8mm movie camera. Her home and many photo albums reflect a full life of family.

When Nancy’s grandchildren were younger, the movies and photo albums were enjoyed as they looked back on their grandparents’ lives. As Nancy’s illness progressed her granddaughter Michelle would look through them with her to hear the stories.

Nancy is survived by her mother, Ethel, and daughters and their families, Deborah Adams, and her children, John (Nicole) Muir & Nicole Muir, Betty (Russell) DeMar and her children, Michelle Turner, Mollie Turner, Josh (Sara) Turner and Nancy Parrott (Shawn McIntyre) and their son, Ryan Parrott. Nancy has 11 great-grandchildren, Tyler, Hunter, Emma, Ryder, Kaydence, Kamiryn, Kallie, Issac, Liam, Kamden, Owen; as well as brothers, Frank (Linda) King Jr., Larry King and sisters, Diane Prue, Sue King, Debbie (Craig) Sanborn.

She was predeceased by her husband, Gary, father, Frank King Sr, brother-in-law, Michael Prue and sister, Rita McGrath.

Betty & Nancy would like to give special thanks to Michelle Turner, Nancy’s granddaughter. Michelle helped us care for mom while she experienced the many changes of dementia. We also want to thank our families for their support as we cared for her in her home.

There will be a memorial graveside service for Nancy & Gary together, as they walk hand and hand through eternity, on Thursday, August 4th, 2022, at 11:00 AM at St. Francis Xavier Cemetery, Weaver Street, Winooski.

In lieu of flowers, memorial may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, Vermont Chapter, 75 Talcott Road, suite 40, Williston, Vermont 05495 or to a charity of one’s choice.
