Daniel Paul “Danny” Cyr
SWANTON: Daniel Paul “Danny” Cyr, age 62, passed away unexpectedly at his home on Saturday, August 13, 2022.
He was born in St. Albans, on October 23, 1959, the son of Rene and Rita (Lavoie) Cyr.
Dan worked for many years for the Burlington Free Press, McCracken Furniture, Lucille Farms, and Boss Excavating. Danny was known for caring for his family and friends, fixing things, gardening, and cooking skills. He had an infectious laugh, personality, sense of humor, and so much more. In his spare time, Danny liked searching for muscle and unique cars. He took extreme pride in spending time with his two grandsons, Logan and Ashton. Papa was always boasting of their basketball skills and talents. They were the joy of his life.
He is survived by his two sons, Eric Cyr and Jason Cyr, of Swanton; daughter Sarah Pelissier of St. Albans; and two grandsons, Ashton Miller and Logan Miller of St. Albans; seven siblings, Diane Bilodeau Rideout of Swanton, Doris (Richard) Archambault of Sheldon, Lucille (Peter) Beauregard of Watsonville, CA, Carol (Thor) Bruyette of St. Albans, David (Tammy) Cyr of St. Albans, Robert Cyr of Fairfax, and Cathy Wolfe of St. Albans; and several nieces and nephews.
Dan was predeceased by his partner Susan Pelissier, his parents, and sister Paula Cyr.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, September 3, at 11 am, at Holy Angels Church with Father Christopher Micale officiating.
