Phyllis Joyce Taylor Edwards
JEFFERSONVILLE: Phyllis Joyce Taylor Edwards passed away peacefully at her home with her family on March 25, 2023. She was 81 years old.
Phyllis was born on January 22, 1942, the daughter of Frank Taylor and Carol (Bell) Taylor Locke.
After graduating from high school, she obtained a degree as a Registered Nurse. She worked as a nurse in Massachusetts, California, and Vermont.
Phyllis married Gregory Douglas Edwards on September 6, 1969. After which, they moved to Germany where Greg was stationed in the United States Army. In 1971, they moved back to the Jeffersonville/Cambridge Vermont area where they raised their family.
Phyllis enjoyed reading, birds, dogs, everything about Christmas which was her favorite time of the year, and spending time with family. She was known to carry a box of dog treats with her to take to Doug’s hounds or Stacey’s labradors during a visit.
Phyllis is survived by her husband of 53 years, Gregory, her daughter Stacey and David, her son Douglas and Norma-Jean (Tobi), her grandchildren Nicholas, Caitlyn, Lillian, Taylor, and Davey; her siblings Frank, Bruce, Cheryl, and Diane; her many nieces and nephews; and her canine companion Annie.
The family gives special thanks to Dr. Donald Miller and Darlene Chamberlin for going over and above to provide the best quality of care. We also appreciate the services provided by Lamoille County Home Health & Hospice.
Family and friends are invited to attend a Celebration of Phyllis’ Life on April 1, 2023, at 3 pm at Georgia Mountain Maples.
