Thomas “Old Boy” Edward Comstock
SWANTON: Thomas “Old Boy” Edward Comstock passed away on Sunday, April 9th, 2023, at home with his loving family at his side.
Born in Saint Albans on August 31st, 1943, he was the son of the late Edward H. and Eleanor (Demar) Comstock. Tom was 79 years old.
Tom attended and was a graduate of BFA St. Albans. He had a passion for building things. Owning his own construction company allowed him to do that for many years. He also had a love for fishing, country music, line dancing, and gambling. He enjoyed card games including Texas Hold’em, cribbage, and blackjack. He was always there for his family and friends and would drop anything to lend a helping hand. He also enjoyed going for his daily rides, including around the horn. He taught his family and friends many valuable lessons, and “was a good man” that no one could forget.
He is survived by his children Tammie Servidas and her husband Michael Ryan, Tracy Comstock, and Timmy Reynolds; grandchildren, Todd R. Patterson, Amie (Patterson) Carlisle-Emerick and her husband Matthew Emerick, Dennis Gabree Jr., Holly Patterson, Melinda Gabree, and Thomas Comstock II; great-grandchildren, Dante Dorsey, Serenity Patterson, Saryn Gabree, Cherry-Lea Carlisle, Layla Emerick, Addison Emerick, Teagan Simcox, Matayo Simcox, and Brawly Gabree. Tom is also survived by many other loving friends and forever family members, Diane Comstock, Sharon Riley-Murray, Steve Martel, Patti and Bernie Savage.
Besides his parents, Tom was predeceased by his brother, Ken Comstock; sister, Donna Ryan; daughter, Terri Comstock and daughter Shannon Reynolds; granddaughter Allyssa Gabree; and his love Connie Brow.
Burial will take place on Friday, April 28th, at 1 pm at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Swanton.
A celebration will be taking place at the Nativity Parish Center on Friday, April 28th, 2023, from 4-6 pm, please bring a dish to share.
