Mary Rhoda Churchill
ST. ALBANS: The family of Mary Rhoda Churchill, age 78, announces that she passed away peacefully, on February 23, 2024, in Saint Albans. She was born in Burlington, VT on October 16, 1945, the daughter of Dorothy (Cota) and Paul Pettitt.
Mary married Rodney Churchill, on July 17, 1980, and enjoyed many years together until his passing on May 20, 2022.
Mary worked for Quality Controlled Stitching in Morrisville for several years and as an independent seamstress for Arthur’s Clothing. Mary had a love for animals, especially her show rabbits. She enjoyed crocheting, watching old movies, and playing cards.
She is survived by nine children, Julie Davis of Middlebury, VT and children, James Davis and Samantha, Audrey Hall of Littleton, NH, and her children Eddie and Katie (Foster) of Sheffield, VT, Joey and Katie of Morrisville VT, Cathy and Earl Peno of Morrisville, VT, children Shelby and Christopher, her step-sons, Rodney Churchill (Madine) of Hinesburg, VT, Oscar Churchill of Olympia, WA, David Churchill of Kenai, AK, Nigel Churchill (Barbara) of Bakersfield, VT, Herbert Churchill (Laurie Tauscher-Churchill) of Chesterfield, VA, and Francis Churchill (Molly Dugan) of Richmond, VT; several step-grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She is also survived by one sister, Mildred Couture, of Colchester, VT.
Interment will be at a later date in Pleasant View Cemetery in Morrisville.
