Pamela Jean Young
The family of Pamela Jean (Williams) Young, announces that she passed away unexpectedly on June 5, 2024, at the University of Vermont Medical Center of Burlington at the age of 70. She was born on September 9, 1953, in Colchester, Vermont the daughter of the late Albert Williams and Veronica (Chamberlin) Slack. She grew up in St George, Vermont graduating from Champlain Valley Union High School in 1971.
Pamela is survived by her loving husband, Kevin Young, her children Darcy & Kris Martin, Damian Martin, Mathew & Chris Young, and Joshua Young; nine grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren; her siblings Skip & Dawn Williams, Michael & Carol Williams, Bonnie (Williams) & Dale Brace, Jennifer (Williams) & Fay Bovat, Shane Williams, in-laws Richard Young (deceased), Ann (Young) & Michael Wethington, David Young and Kathryn (Young) Carter; and several nieces and nephews.
Pamela retired a few years ago, focusing on enjoying time with her family and friends. Her family was the light of her life. She enjoyed going to the casino, always having a great time and feeling happy even if she came home sometimes with no winnings. She had an amazing green thumb and enjoyed her plants and flowers. She enjoyed sewing and participated in craft shows throughout the years. She spent her quiet time working on puzzles and getting lost in the images.
A remembrance gathering will be held at Brady & Levesque Funeral Home on Tuesday, June 11, 2024, between 3:00-6:00 pm.
A private family burial will be held on June 12, 2024.
