Janice E. Geraw

ENOSBURG FALLS: Janice E. Geraw, age 93, passed away on Sunday, July 21, 2024, at the Northwestern Medical Center in St. Albans.

Born in Berkshire, Vermont on February 23, 1931, Janice was the daughter of the late Joseph and Lena (Cabana) Fleury.

Janice graduated from Enosburg Falls High School in 1949 and married Frederick Geraw in 1950. He passed away in 2002.

She worked in the printing business for several years and in the flower shop on Main Street for over 30 years. She loved flowers, working in her gardens, and sharing flowers with friends and family. Janice was a member of the Enosburgh Historical Society and in 1985 she compiled and completed the History of Enosburgh Vermont book. She loved playing cards and was a member of the Modern Dozen Club for over 60 years. She was also a member of The 500 Club and the “Friday Girls.” After moving to Riverbend Apartments, she formed the Riverbend Kitchen Band, and aside from playing at Riverbend, they would play at various nursing homes. Janice enjoyed spending time with her family.

She is survived by her children, Gary Geraw and his wife Sue of Franklin, and Chris Geraw and his friend Shelly Snow of Enosburgh; grandchildren, Forrest (Melissa) Geraw, Amanda (Ryan) Morong, and Krista (Travis) Ploof; step-grandchildren, Nichole Rees, Lacey (Brian) Paradee, and Cole (Andrea) Rees; great-grandchildren, Emma, Keiran, MacKenzie, Gabriel, Drew, Owen, Lily, Weston, Elena, Hunter, Oden, and Mazie Mae; and many special nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband and parents, Janice was predeceased by her sister, Corinne Laroche and her husband Clesson; and her brother, Glenn Fleury and his wife Jeannette.

Friends and family are invited to Janice’s life celebration to include a graveside memorial service on Friday, August 2, 2024, at 4:00 PM at St. John the Baptist Cemetery, Stone House Road, Enosburgh, VT.
