Cedric C. White Sr.

BAKERSFIELD – Cedric C. White Sr., age 86, passed away on Monday, April 16, 2018, with his family at his side at the St. Albans Health & Rehab facility.

He was born in Marshfield, VT on August 22, 1931, to the late Bill & May (Brown) Lunge and Rolla White. He was one of nine children.

Cedric’s life revolved around farming. After attending school in Bakersfield, he started working at farms around Franklin County and then began working at Worthmore Feeds in Brattleboro. While living in southern Vermont, he met and married Evelyn (Woodley) on April 25, 1953. He returned to Franklin County with his family in 1967. Cedric owned farms in Enosburg, Berkshire and East Fairfield; he bought the farm in Enosburg in 1967, Berkshire in 1982 and settled in East Fairfield in 1988. He was very active in the farming community and helped with several organizations including the UVM Extension Service, Farm Bureau, and 4-H. Cedric retired from farming in 2000.

He is survived by his children, Marie McRae and her husband Gordon of St. Albans, Elaine Rizzo and her husband Robert of Charlotte, NC, Darren White of Bakersfield, Teresa Robert and her husband Garth of Enosburg and Cedric White Jr. and his wife Dawn of East Fairfield; several grandchildren, Rachel Repetto, Sara Hanson, Abraham, Samuel, Joanna, Jessamyn, Logan & Annalisa McRae, Melissa Button, Tiffany Rizzo, David Burns and Ashley, Heather, Cedric III & Hunter White; 19 great grandchildren; his sister, Naomi Lunge of St. Albans and many nieces & nephews. Besides his parents, Cedric was predeceased by his wife, Evelyn White; a newborn son, Emery White; 2 grandchildren, Daniel & Marc McRae; 2 great-grandchildren, David Repetto and Kiara McRae and 7 siblings.

In keeping with Cedric’s wishes, there will be no public services.

Janice D. Longe

ENOSBURG FALLS – Janice D. Longe Marston, age 91, passed away surrounded by her loving family on Tuesday, April 17, 2018, at her home in Enosburg Falls.

She was born in Montgomery on April 24, 1926, to the late Donald & Lillian (Greene) Garrow.

Janice is a former resident of Sheldon and Barton. She was a hard-working mother, farmer, and housekeeper for many years. In her younger years, Janice enjoyed deer hunting, fishing, snowmobiling and playing Bingo. She was the best mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother anyone could ask for. Recently she enjoyed trips to the casino with Ron, listening to western country music and visiting with her friends at Brownway. Janice was a member of St. John the Baptist Church in Enosburg Falls.

She is survived by her son, Ronald Longe Sr. and his wife Rose of Sheldon; two grandchildren, Ron Longe Jr. of New York, NY and Jenn Regan and her husband Darrell of Sheldon; two great grandchildren, Adam Regan and his wife Tiffany of Sheldon and Hayley Regan of New York, NY; two great great grandchildren, Addison & Rylee; her step-daughter, Sandy Wilson and her children Tyler, Shawn & Brian and their families; sisters, Guyneth Hauter of Katy, TX and Helen Ashton of St. Albans; brother-in-law, Richard Longe of Sheldon; sister-in-law, Kathryn Dulude of Enosburg Falls; special nephew, Gordon Garrow and his wife Rita; beloved friends, Linda Epply, Bonnie Goodhue & Carol Jackson; several close friends from Brownway including Arlene Ploof and several nieces & nephews. Besides her parents, Janice was predeceased by her first husband, Clifton Longe Sr.; second husband, Richard Marston; her son, Clifton Longe Jr.; her grandson-in-law, Jerome Grant and her brothers, James & Edward Garrow.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, April 22, 2018, from 4-7:00 PM at Spears Funeral Home, 96 Dickinson Ave., Enosburg Falls.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday, April 23, 2018, at 11:00 AM at St. John the Baptist Church, Missisquoi St., Enosburg Falls. Interment will follow in St. John the Baptist Cemetery.

Grady Luke Howrigan

East Fairfield, VT – Grady Luke Howrigan was granted his angel wings too soon on July 28th, 2017. He was born on September 21st, 2009, and lived his life on the family farm in East Fairfield, Vermont. He started his schooling at one of his favorite places, Blooming Minds Preschool, and continued at the Fairfield Center School where he was loved by everyone who came into contact with him.

Grady was a Vermont farm boy through and through. He loved to get his hands dirty in any way he could: he loved to be outside, fishing, hunting with his dad, working on the farm, digging in the dirt, sugaring, riding bikes, and riding in the Ranger. He was a lover of sports and excelled at everything he tried including football, baseball, basketball, skiing, swimming and was a budding businessman with Grady’s Golden Goodness honey.

Grady was an incredibly kind and helpful child with an infectious smile, sense of humor, and famous for his big, warm hugs. All of these characteristics and his outgoing personality drew everyone in and made them smile. He lived his life without fear, willing to try everything which allowed him to live his short life to the fullest.

Grady is survived by his parents, Luke and Nicole Howrigan, two brothers, Nolan and Finn, a sister, Eva; paternal grandparents, Thomas and Susan Howrigan; maternal grandmother, Gail Bergeron; paternal great grandmother, Janet Bartlett; maternal great-grandparents, Clemence Bergeron and Merril and Louise Tittemore; aunts and uncles and cousins: Matthew and Kerri Howrigan and their four boys, Tyler and Jennifer Howrigan and their son, Alex and Lise Howrigan and their two daughters, Brian Bergeron and Braden Summers, Amy and Kenny Malo and their five children, Michael and Heather Bergeron and their two children; along with many other relatives and friends.

Grady was predeceased in death by his maternal grandfather, Paul “Big Papa” Bergeron; maternal great-grandfather, Raymond Bergeron; paternal great-grandparents, Carlton Bartlett and D. Francis and Neva Howrigan.

Calling hours will take place at the Heald Funeral Home, 87 South Main Street, St. Albans on Tuesday, August 1st, 2017, from 4pm-8pm.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in memory of Grady on Wednesday, August 2nd at 11 am at St. Patrick’s Church, 116 Church Street, Fairfield, Vermont, with burial to follow at St. Patrick’s Cemetery.
