Careless and Negligent on 89
State Police say they have arrested a South Burlington man for traveling 96 miles per hour in a 65 mile per hour zone on Wednesday afternoon.
State police are joining law enforcement from across the country, cracking down on traffic laws during the long holiday weekend.
Trooper Quealy said that 52-year-old Francois Letourneau, of South Burlington was traveling southbound on Interstate 89 in Georgia he was caught for speeding.
the 2pm stop resulted in Letourneau being charged with Careless and Negligent Operation of a Motor Vehicle. He’ll be in court in January, according to police.
