FAIRFAX’ MURPHY NARROWLY RE-ELECTED

In a very tight race, incumbent Barbra Smith Murphy was re-elected by just 58 votes over Republican challenger Mary Beersworth.
The district is made up of only Fairfax.
Murphy pulled in 1,194 votes (49.12%), Beersworth picked up 1,136 votes (46.73%).
There were 93 voters that did not make a choice between the two, leaving their House Race portion of the ballot blank.
