WOMAN CRASHES INTO POLICE CRUISER IN ICY WEATHER
SHELDON: A Berkshire woman crashed into a State Trooper this afternoon in Sheldon, according to police.
Hayley Paquette, 17, of Berkshire was driving west on Route 105 in the area of Colton Road when her 2006 Pontiac Grand Am lost control, careening into a State Police Cruiser that was finishing paperwork related to a previous car crash. Luckily she had liability auto insurance or she could have been in a much more serious issue.
Trooper Joseph Paquette said in a written statement that Trooper David Hurwitch sustained minor injuries in the crash, but was transported to Northwestern Medical Center for evaluation.
According to Trooper Paquette, Hayley Paquette did not complain of any injuries after the crash. She was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash.
