Barbara married Harold Cutting on January 23, 1949 and the two raised their family in East Bakersfield on a small dairy farm and Enosburgh. Barbara worked as a secretary for the Rural and Farm Rehabilitation program through the UVM Extension Office for 20 years retiring in 1993. She wrote for the Enosburg Standard Country Dew Drops and Country Snowflakes. She was active in the West Enosburg Methodist Church and served as a Pastoral Volunteer for several years. She will be remembered for baking her infamous doughnuts and gingerbread cookies, making wreaths and Partridge Berry bowls for church bazaars, and her love of listening to bagpipes. Most of all, Barbara relished time spent with her family.
