FORMER FRANKLIN COUNTY WOMAN CHARGED WITH HEROIN TRAFFICKING

SOUTH BURLINGTON: Police executed a search warrant at the Comfort Suites off Shelburne Road in South Burlington on Monday, where they arrested two women, including one who is listed as transient, but recently resided in Franklin County and Grand Isle Counties.

Sheena Leveille, 32, formerly of Swanton, Alburgh, and Enosburgh, was arrested after police found 424 bags of heroin in the room she was staying. Also in the hotel room was cocaine, divided up into “fractional gram quantities,” police said.

While police were there, they encountered a second female, 33-year-old Kylee Raduechel of Colchester, who was attempting to gain access to the hotel room where Leveille was staying.

According to police, Raduechel was there to exchange a bag of stolen merchandise for Leveille’s drugs. The stolen goods included clothing with the tags still on them, police said.

Raduechel was on supervised release from a federal drug conviction stemming from a 2019 arrest, according to police. During that arrest in 2019, police seized about 30 grams of heroin and almost 100 grams of cocaine base.

Leveille was wanted by the Vermont Department of Corrections for a failure to comply with furlough, as well as a warrant for failure to appear on a DLS charge.

Leveille is being held without bail at Chittenden County Correctional Center, two miles north of where she was arrested. Her previous convictions include DUI, DLS #3 for DUI, grossly negligent operation of a motor vehicle, resisting arrest, disorderly conduct, and cocaine possession, according to public records.

Police said that more charges could be filed for the two women, as well as other suspects in the case.

Raduechel’s criminal record in Vermont includes charges of grossly negligent operation, attempting to elude, violations of conditions of release, leaving the scene of an accident, possession of heroin, resisting arrest, and driving under the influence #1. It is not clear what charges ended with a conviction.
