SWANTON POLICE RELEASE SHOOTING SUSPECT’S MUG SHOT, NAME OF VICTIM
SWANTON: Police released the mug shot of the suspect in a homicide yesterday in Swanton.
According to police, James Mulholland, 22, of Swanton shot Kyle A. LaBelle, 32, which resulted in LaBelle’s death later that evening.
The homicide was triggered over a disagreement between the two men, after LaBelle told Mulholland he was not allowed to pet his dog, according to the investigation.
The Islander newspaper reports that Mulholland is believed to have shot LaBelle 11 times with a semi-automatic pistol, that gun was a .22 caliber, however, the make was unknown.
The County Courier will have more information after Monday’s arraignment of Mulholland.
