FRANKLIN MAN CITED FOR DUI AFTER CRASH
FRANKLIN: According to the Vermont State Police, Kyle Harvey, 31, of Franklin was cited into Franklin County Criminal Court for January 19th, 2021, on the charge of Driving under the influence after a crash in the Town of Franklin on Thursday.
Trooper Shawn Cavic, of the Vermont State Police, said troopers were dispatched to a crash in Franklin at around 9:37 P.M. but did not say where the accident occurred.
The Trooper did not release what Cavic’s PBT was at the time of his arrest, or if one was even obtained.
Harvey was arrested in September of 2019 by the Franklin County Sheriff’s Department for DUI after a deputy stopped an ATV on Route 120 in Sheldon. At that time, Harvey’s BAC registered at 0.086%, just over the legal limit for driving in Vermont.
Harvey was arrested in 2011 by members of the Vermont State Police after allegedly hitting a pedestrian with his truck on Route 2 in Grand Isle, seriously injuring the 20-year-old male who was walking along the State Highway just before noon on July 3rd. Harvey allegedly fled the scene in 2011, but police located him not long after the crash.
Editor’s note: A previous version of this story inadvertently listed the man who was struck in 2011 to have been fatally injured.
