NMC WELCOMES FIRST BABY OF 2021

On New Year’s Day, Amelia Eileen Oquendo became the first baby born at NMC in the new year.

“Parents Meghann and Mike Oquendo, of Cambridge, were happy to meet their new bundle of joy,” said NMC spokesperson Kate Laddison, “but somewhat surprised as she was born five weeks early.”

The baby girl was born at 5:44 a.m., a healthy 5 pounds, 12 ounces, measuring 18 3/4 inches long, according to Laddison

As the first baby born at NMC in 2021, Amelia was presented a hand-made wooden rocking horse, crafted by Natural Hardwoods of Highgate Center and a colorful quilt gifted by the Franklin County Quilters Guild.
