Suzanne E. Desrochers

ST. ALBANS: It is with great sadness that the family of Suzanne E. Desrochers, age 39, announce that she passed away unexpectedly on July 14 upon release from an extended hospital stay due to an injury. .

Suzanne was born on October 5, 1981. She was a lifelong resident of St. Albans, a graduate of BFA-St. Albans, and was employed at Superior Technical Ceramics.

Suzanne lived a simple life of hard work and loyalty to her friends and family. She took life in stride, never complained, and had a fun-loving and trusting nature. She was always up for an adventure outdoors – campfires, fishing, swimming, hiking, and canoeing. Suzanne could be depended on to help her family or friends without hesitation. She loved creatures great and small and over the years cared for a menagerie of pets, including her beloved dog, Kakistos whom she had continued to miss.

Suzanne was predeceased by her mother, Martha Berry Murray, and her grandparents Robert and Janice Berry.

She will be greatly missed by her Aunt Linda Collins of Richford, and her close cousins Amanda (David), Callie and Sam Chase of New Hampshire, who all loved her very much. She is also survived by her father Yvan Marcoux and a half brother Joseph Desrochers.

She leaves special friends Cindy, Jess, and Jen Godin of St. Albans, who acted as her second family. She will also be missed by her childhood friend, Angela Swainbank, who grew up with her on Lincoln Ave. and remained her friend for life.  

A Remembrance Gathering will be held at Brady and Levesque Funeral Home, St. Albans on Monday, July 26, from 4-6pm.  A private burial will follow in the family plot at Richford Center Cemetery.

Donations can be made in Suzanne’s name to the Franklin County Humane Society.
